Streaming Audio! Yogi Tunes! A Match made in Music Heaven!
Good news for Real Audio users (which you could be just by visiting their site and downloading the software)! You should soon be able to listen to Real Audio files of two of the songs on Bait, Strange Ways and Firefly. This is really cool, especially now while there are no free tapes. Go to: The Music Connection @trefster.com. The site is dedicated to help get word out about unsigned artists (like me!), and there is now a "YOGI" area there. You can even fill out a form to leave your opinion about songs. Cool, huh? Let me know what you think. [ 1999 Note: This "Music Connection" site never really got going. The guy who ran it did say some nice things about my songs, though.]

Audio rears it's ugly head at Yogi on the Net.
Bait is on hiatus! That's right, you can no longer have Bait sent to you (though you can get on the mailing list to be sent a copy when the new ones come in). As a small consolation, you can now download .WAV files of my stuff, so you can still hear what the music sounds like for free. CLICK HERE to go to the Sound Files page.

Yogi has a language all his own, and now the mysteries are solved for all…
As I promised there is a new page on this site as of today, the LYRICS page. Finally, all of you who couldn't quite make out the words of the songs on Bait are in for a treat! Check out the new page! Also, coming soon is a "Bait Comments" page, where I'll be posting other people's thoughts and comments on my music. [2001 Note: The lyrics page is gone, gone, gone. See the liner notes of the actual releases for the words to Yogi tunes.]

Yogi's cutting Bait, and you can get some…
It's been almost a month since I put any up-to-date news items on this page, so let's rectify the situation, eh? Here's the scoop for all of you out there waiting patiently for Bait: I have been having problems with the company who is manufacturing the tapes for me, but they PROMISE that they'll be in next week, hopefully around July 20. I will have the tapes out as soon as I get them. Thanks everyone for your patience. Also, you guys who have been to my site before should check out my new item on the menu, my What's New? page [ 2000 note: the What's New page is long gone, replaced by the "Recent Updates" on the home page.]. Whenever you come and visit, you can just check out the What's New? area to see what's been added since the last time you were here. Other things to come very soon include a comments/review area, where people can see what others think of my music, and also I'll be adding lyrics very soon, initially just the ones on Bait, but later I'll have all the lyrics from all of my projects. Just for those of you wondering, "What in Sam Hill is that fool saying?" Stay tuned!!

Oops, Yogi's out of Thread.
Well, the news today is that my association with Thread has officially ended. There are no hard feelings, I just feel it is time I pursued other endeavors. Thread's future in Seattle is uncertain at best, as Rocky plans to move to either New York or San Francisco in a few months. More on my new plans as they develop.

King's X releases Ear Candy, and Yogi wants you to know about it.
Today one of my fave bands in the whole world (and also the world's most criminally unknown band), King's X, released their new record, Ear Candy, in my opinion, their best in years. I added a King's X promotional page to this site, which you can CLICK HERE to see, to help raise awareness of this great band. Please check 'em out.

Yogi on the Net, Version 1.0 is unveiled.
At long last!!! This site, Yogi on the Net, is officially finished in its beta form! That is, until somebody tells me of some mistakes, etc., I ain't gonna change it for a while. I will probably add stuff as ideas hit me, but as of today my original ideas have been realized. Hooray! Don't forget, you can always e-mail me with suggestions, or if you see that I've goofed anywhere. Hope you guys enjoy!!

Chris G joins Thread as the new drummer!
Well, I believe it can now officially be said - Thread's new drummer is none other than that rascally Chris G. For those of you who know any of my prior history, Chris G and I along with Toby Ramsey and Sean Hester moved to Seattle in the summer of `93 and started a band called Stop Hitting Me, a project which fizzled out in late `94. So, for me, it is going to be a real treat working with Chris again. He is definately my favorite drummer in the whole world. Rehearsals have been going really well, and we had a nice first gig, a "tune-up" if you will, this past weekend at the Lake Forest Inn. Big show this weekend, Friday, April 26, at the Offramp in downtown Seattle. See Thread's web page for details.

Yog's in a new band! He's the... BASS PLAYER?
Today marked the beginning of my tenure in Thread as a bass player, as I played my first live show with the band at the Lake Forest Inn. Overall the show went well, and I felt really comfortable, considering I hadn't played in front of humans with any band since November, 1994. This also marked the first time I played BASS live in any band...kind of strange, I must admit, but hey, I'm doing my best to be the most well-rounded musician available (eating a lot of twinkies would help with that too..!). All in all, an exciting new beginning.
